5 Search Engines

When you need information about something, you can use a search engine, like Google or Bing, on the Internet to find what you are looking for.  Web search gives you text.  Image search gives you pictures.  Video search gives you videos.

Search for something about science that interests you on Google and on Bing; remember to check out web, images, and videos.  How were the results alike and how were they different.  Post three things you learned about science from your search.  Post your explanation to your blog.  Can you see the Pygmy Seahorse in the picture?  I recently did a search about Pygmy Seahorses to learn more about them.

4 Cartoonme

Go to cartoonme to create your own avatar and post a picture of it on your blog. You may create several avatars but one must have a science theme.

3 Microsoft Word

Watch the Word Tutorial Video several times and practice what you learn.

Watch the video about how to create a Microsoft Word Template.

Create a template page for Microsoft Word that you can use every time you need to create a Word document.

2 Create-a-Graph

Go to Create-a-Graph and learn how to use the site to make bar, pie, and line graphs. Create a bar, pie, and line graph of your choice and post the results to your school blog. For example, a student made a bar graph about student's favorite video games, a pie graph of the different types of invertebrate animals, and a line graph of the velocity (distance divided by time) of skaters racing a city block.
